Join the Basalt Library Seed Savers Club and become part of a growing local group of individuals who are committed to preserving the practice and benefits of seed saving. In our short, harsh, high altitude growing climate, the benefit of saving seeds over many growing seasons allows us to produce plants that thrive in our environment, producing drought tolerant, pest resistant, high yield and high flavor crops that can be shared with growers up and down the valley, supporting local food sovereignty and community food needs. Club members also become community story tellers, creating shared narratives around the seeds, plants, growing conditions, quality of crops, and meals that they are producing from the seeds they're saving and sharing.
