Name: Family Volunteering-Crooked Creek Wetlands Project
Date: September 7, 2018 - September 9, 2018
Event Description:
You and the whole family are invited to camp out with us near the beautiful Fryingpan Valley on the weekend of September 7-9 for this family-friendly volunteer project. For the past few years, the Crooked Creek Wetlands restoration project has been a popular and fun project up the Frying Pan Rd. This will be the last piece to the Crooked Creek puzzle and our final leg of this multi-year project. Car camping is optional but encouraged due to the longer drive from Basalt up the Frying Pan Rd to the project site. You can camp with us starting at 4pm Friday and volunteer on Saturday and/or Sunday or just arrive in the morning and join us for the day. Dinner and lunch will be included from Friday dinner until Sunday lunch. Project partners on this project include: Wilderness Workshop, Roaring Fork Conservancy, U.S. Forest Service - White River National Forest, and Roaring Fork Outdoor Volunteers. Please sign up online at https://rfov.salsalabs.org/crooked_creek_wetlands_project_signup/index.html or http://wildernessworkshop.org/restore-a-wetland/ so we can gather the best head count for food and resources.
