Event Description:
Fireflies, rare orchids, and thermal wetlands are only part of what makes Filoha Meadows special. Join Lisa Tasker, local botanist with E.M. Ecological, educators from RFC, rangers from Pitkin County Open Space & Trails. to tour areas typically closed to public access while discussing current issues surrounding Filoha Meadows and the Crystal River Valley. Please keep in mind: • This program is appropriate for those 12 years and older. Minors must be accompanied by a parent. • Please dress appropriately as the program will happen rain or shine. • Please also wear closed toed shoes as there is quite a bit of walking, including some on uneven terrain. REGISTRATION is required and opens three weeks in advance of the program date.
