"War Stories" is a four-part series led by Paul Andersen, the Executive Director of "Huts for Vets." This hugely popular series is back at the library for its fourth year in a row. This year "War Stories" will explore the psychology and mythology of war and the possibilities for peace. Readings include selections from authors Karl Marlantes, Chris Hedges and Paul Chappell. The group will explore the psychology of war through historical and cultural insights based on Marlantes' combat experience in Vietnam and Hedges war reporting in the Balkans. The road to peace is the topic of Army Captain (ret.) Paul Chappell and his "Wage Peace" initiative. All sessions are held Thursdays, 5:30 - 7:00 pm. (March 1, March 15, March 29, April 12) Registration is required; sign-up and materials are available at the Basalt Regional Library front desk. Fee: $10 donation for "Huts to Vets", includes a copy of the book "Will War Ever End?"
