40% of the food in America is Wasted. This new documentary by Anthony Bourdain aims to change the way people buy, cook, recycle, and eat food. Through the eyes of chef-heroes like Bourdain, Dan Barber, Mario Batali, Massimo Bottura, and Danny Bowien, WASTED! exposes the criminality of food waste and shows us how each of us can make small changes – all of them delicious – to make the most of every kind of food. Prior to the screening, Jason Smith, Director of Rock Bottom Ranch will lead a panel about food waste. Jason will also be preparing appetizers and bites prepared from recovered food. This event is part of the 'Culture With a Concience' series presented by TACAW and ACES. Food will be served at 5:30, the panel will speak at 6:00, and the screening will start at 7:00.
