Name: "Wasted: The Story of Food Waste" Film Screening & Panel Discussion
Date: February 6, 2018
Time: 5:30 PM - 9:00 PM MST
Event Description:
40% of the food in America is Wasted. This new documentary by Anthony Bourdain aims to change the way people buy, cook, recycle, and eat food. Through the eyes of chef-heroes like Bourdain, Dan Barber, Mario Batali, Massimo Bottura, and Danny Bowien, WASTED! exposes the criminality of food waste and shows us how each of us can make small changes – all of them delicious – to make the most of every kind of food. On Tuesday, February 6, ACES and The Arts Campus at Willits (TACAW) present "Wasted!: The Story of Food Waste." Join us at The Temporary in Basalt for a panel discussion and film screening centered on the role that food, and food waste, play in our daily lives. Prior to the screening, Jason Smith, Director of Rock Bottom Ranch will lead a panel about food waste, and share appetizers and bites prepared from recovered food. This event is part of the new 'Culture With a Conscience' series presented by TACAW and ACES.
