The Sopris Sun is a weekly nonprofit newspaper published every Thursday in Carbondale, Colorado. Our mission is to inform, inspire and build community. The Sopris Sun focuses in-depth on issues and stories not covered by other local newspapers, providing a forum for the rich exchange of news and views and offering a unique platform for promotion of local businesses and events. Our editorial coverage spans Garfield, Eagle and Pitkin counties.

As a nonprofit our goal is to be an affordable advertising option for the Valley. Money raised through advertising goes directly to create our award winning editorial coverage.
