Event Description:

There are four steps to the Chamber Pass Program process.  An outline of the entire process, with screenshots, is documented here. 

This event registration is the method for Basalt Chamber members to opt into the discounted Chamber Pass Program for Aspen Skiing Company (ASC) winter season passes.  This registration is STEP 1 of the program process; it indicates to chamber staff that your organization wants to participated in the Chamber Pass Program.

  1. Opt-in: Member opts into the program (YOU ARE HERE - Click the blue Register Now button above to start). Click here for detailed instructions for this step.
  2. Verify eligibility: Chamber verifies the member's eligibility for the program, then provides member's information to ASC using registration and database information. 
    • Members must be active and current. In order to qualify for the Chamber discount, members must be in good standing - meaning all outstanding invoices must be paid. We will not verify your eligibility with ASC until the annual membership investment has been made. Membership can be paid online. Once verified, the member will receive a confirmation email from the Chamber with a link to the ASC Season Pass Order Form.
  3. ASC Pass selection: The member completes the ASC order form, and selects their preferred payment method. Details on passes, prices and restrictions can be found at www.aspensnowmass.com/chamber.
  4. ASC Pass payment: The member works with ASC to pay for the passes, locking in the price and securing voucher numbers that can be loaded to an RFID Aspen card (aka lift ticket) at a later date.

The Chamber portion of the process is completely digital. Please allow up to two business days for the chamber to complete the verification of eligibility process.

ONLY one registration PER organization. 
The registration should be made by the single designated Chamber Season Pass representative for your business/organization. Details from the registration form will provided to ASC. Do NOT add any attendees beyond the pass representative for this "event."

Annually there is a random audit of 10% of participating businesses to ensure compliance with the program. Read more here.

Qualifications: While any business can join the Basalt Chamber, Aspen Skiing Company has specific requirements for its program. The Chamber Pass Program is only for local businesses based in the Roaring Fork Valley, with staff living in the valley as their primary residence, 20 hours a week or more in the winter season. Second-home owners are not eligible.

Location:
The Chamber's process is 100% online. There is no need to physically visit the Chamber office. Outstanding invoices can be paid online.
Date/Time Information:
The Basalt Chamber will only process verifications of eligibility from August 16-September 9, 2022. Aspen Skiing Company's Super Early Discount rate is available from August 16-September 16, 2022. The earlier chamber deadline is to ensure members have enough time to complete the ENTIRE process with Aspen Skiing Company before the rates increase. Pass prices are only locked in once Aspen Skiing Company has received payment.

Members are required to complete a four step process to secure discounted chamber passes:  an opt-in by the member, verification by the chamber, THEN the member works with ASC to order and pay for the discounted passes. Members need to complete STEP 1 | Opt-In with the chamber by September 9, 2022 to provide enough time for the business to complete the ordering and payment transaction with ASC prior to the Early Discount deadline. Do NOT wait to the last minute!

Fees/Admission:
There is no fee to complete the opt-in and verification process during the process the standard time frame (August 16- September 9, 2022). Last minute opt-in registrations  (after September 9, 2022) will be assessed a rush fee.

Separately, a business will need to make a payment:
  1. To the chamber if the business has an outstanding membership invoice. Prior to being eligible for the discount, a business must have paid the chamber for the annual chamber membership investment. Once all outstanding invoices have been paid, the business is in good standing and is then eligible for the Chamber Pass Program.
  2. To Aspen Skiing Company once passes that are ordered by the business (Step 4). These transactions are between the business and ASC.
