Event Description:
The National Fishing in the Schools Program is a nationwide, all-inclusive, in-school program that provides teachers with training, curriculum, equipment, and online support to help you teach your students about rivers and river conservation through fly fishing. Designed to be taught by teachers during the regular school day, this program makes it easy to learn and teach fly fishing to elementary, middle and high school students, whether you are an experienced angler or picking up a rod for the first time. Roaring Fork Conservancy educators are certified teacher-trainers for the NFSP Level 1 Teacher Training. Additional information about NFSP can be found here. This workshop is being offered in partnership and with support from Colorado Parks and Wildlife.
