It seems these days that people are feeling more disconnected than ever and they want to do something about it. We’re inviting people from different backgrounds and perspectives to spend time together in real and rich conversation in which all listen first to understand. Such conversations across differences are all too rare, but we seek to make them the norm in our communities. These conversations will follow the House Meetings method from Mountain Voices Project and will be facilitated by leaders trained in this method. The goal is to reconnect in good faith with fellow Pitkin, Eagle and Garfield County residents, learn from each other, build relationships, and identify opportunities to bridge divides in our communities. The topic for our first round of conversations is Healthcare, and the question we'll be diving into is: "What is your experience with health care in Pitkin, Eagle and Garfield Garfield County?" We invite people from healthcare professions as well as community members to share their experiences together. Offered in collaboration with Pitkin and Garfield County Libraries.
