Join Jodie Hollander, recipient of a Fulbright Fellowship in South Africa, a National Endowment for the Humanities Grant in Italy, and a Hawthornden Fellowship in Scotland, for a poetry workshop at the library. This workshop will focus on the significance of place in poetry. Place may be defined as a geographical location, an internal state, or perhaps a poetic meeting of the two. The workshop will center on how to structure and develop poems, and the creative process; we will engage in exercises designed to create new work and look at how to craft an ear-pleasing line of poetry.
