Starting Jan. 1, 2023, ALL Colorado employers will need to register and be prepared to collect and remit premium payments to fund the state’s new extended paid leave program. In August, the Colorado Department of Labor & Employment (CDLE) FAMLI Division adopted revised program requirements for employers.

During his presentation, Michael will review employer responsibilities for calculating FAMLI premiums and paycheck deductions, how FAMLI leave works with FMLA and HFWA, compliance for multi-state/remote workforces, and exemption process updates for local governments/special tax districts and qualifying private plans.
